Eco Ambassadors Enrich School Grounds with Fruit Tree Planting Initiative
On Friday 7th February, a selection of our dedicated Eco Ambassadors took part in a wonderful initiative to enhance the greenery around our school grounds by planting a variety of fruit trees. This event was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to engage with nature and contribute to the environment.Among the enthusiastic participants were Year 6 pupils, Shrey and Mia, who planted a Christmas Pippin Apple tree and a Stella Cherry tree, respectively. Their efforts were mirrored by Maya in Year 4, who carefully planted a Conference Pear tree, and Emmeline in Year 3, who added a Rosette Apple tree to our growing orchard.
Additionally, a special Victoria Plum tree was planted by a dedicated member of staff, symbolising the collective effort of our school community in promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship.
This initiative not only beautifies our school grounds but also serves as a lasting reminder of our commitment to eco-friendly practices.
