Urban Widlife Project Launches at Hallam Fields

Following a successful application to create an urban wildlife project through Leicester City Council, we had our first session at Hallam Fields Primary School this week, planting a hedgerow.

All children from Year 1 to 6 were given the opportunity to plant a tree and even though the rain was pouring, it didn't stop us!

Over the coming months, Leicester City Council will also host four educational sessions at the school, each focusing on a crucial aspect of the project:

  1. Why is nature important?
  2. What does your school already have?
  3. How can we make your school more friendly for wildlife?
  4. What impact have we had?

This amazing project has been made possible through funding in association with the World Wildlife Fund and Airwick, who allow schools to develop wildflower habitats for global wildlife.

The exciting project will be an engaging and impactful experience for our pupils at Hallam Fields, giving them a real opportunity to make a difference.
