Year 2 Trip to Tamworth Castle

Last month, our Year 2 pupils visited Tamworth castle as part of their learning about Castles, Knights and Dragons for history.

The children enjoyed standing on top of the tall tower and exploring the terrifying dungeons. During the day they learnt how to be a quire and assembled a real-life suit of armour. The pupils were also able to name and recall the different features of a castle!

The lady of the castle asked the children to be her servants and they learnt how to set a table for her upcoming banquet. Some children even had the opportunity to dress up as the lord and lady of the castle!

We all had a wonderful day and the children set a perfect example for Hallam Fields Primary.
